Kodi Boxes can be a fire hazard

Electrical Safety First has carried out testing on 9 of the most popular Kodi Boxes and discovered that they fail to meet UK Electrical Safety Standards. In a number of instances they have shown that they are prone to serious life safety concerns due to the potential to catch fire.

Steve Curtler, the Product Safety Manager at Electrical Safety First told the Independent newspaper:
“Given the nature of the safety issues we found, [the worst case result of one of the devices malfunctioning] would be for a fire to break out, causing severe property damage and even fatalities, and of course fatalities from electric shock,”
